Job description

The Company is seeking an experienced service technician to join its Adelaide operation. The ideal applicant will perform service and calibrations of weighing and instrumentation equipment and assist the sales team with installations of new equipment with potential for strong growth through the portfolio of products.

The Adelaide facility, including the service department and workshop, is located in Underdale but a lot of the calibration work is conducted on site at customers premises all over the greater Adelaide region and country South Australia so travel is a requirement of the job from time to time.

 

Position

A dedicated and experienced technical service person is required.

Duties will include; performing calibration and service work from an existing client base, responding to new incoming service inquiries, onsite repair and calibrations of both weighing and process instrumentation equipment.

Regional and interstate travel is required from time to time to carry out calibration work and to attend training sessions.

On offer is a negotiable package including salary, car, phone, super and performance bonuses and will be based on experience.

 

Candidate

To be successful with your application, you will have had laboratory and industrial equipment and/or weighing industry experience in service and calibration, and an understanding of processed based operational and communication systems. You will also be experienced in NATA procedures and calibration requirements. A minimum 2 years experience in the weighing/instrumentation service and calibration fields with NMI verification kits being looked upon favourably if completed and valid.

  • A valid drivers license is required, with preference toward someone who already has a high risk forklift license
  • You will need to be able to support our large product portfolio and communicate with our customers clearly both verbally and in writing.
  • You will need to be someone who gets along with fellow staff easily and enjoys working as part of a team, as well as someone who enjoys the pressure of delivering a solution to customers in a timely manner.
